The Task

Develope a plan for dissemination of your final project

The Plan

We do not anticipate that our project will be completely finished by the completion of the FabAcademy given the complexity of engineering, electronics and programming that will be required in order to fly this aircraft under a feedback stabilised, pre-programmed flight and spray path. Instead we intend to have it flying and for the spray mechanism to be working when triggered by a manual push button. As such, we hope to harness the power and knowledge of the online community by sharing the plans for our copter and seeking contributions into the positioning and flight path. The plans too will be free for any memebers of the fablab lab network to access and we hope eventually that other Labs will be able to download our designs and cut their own spray painting octocopter on their CNC Mills.

The plans for our copter are going to be made completely accessable and open source - starting with a link on this page. We will be sharing the design files and video's etc. with online flight/helicopter communities such as RunRyder, DIY Drones and by listing the plans on GitHub for all to access and contribute. In the future we hope to have established enough interest and contributors to warrant a stand alone webpage and forum whereby people can acces and contribute to the designs in a centralised location.

We do not intend to apply for any patents or copyrights on any of the designs associated with our project.
